Beneficial ownership reporting in the Trade and Geopolitical Risk sector sits at the intersection of two compliance pressures: anti-evasion enforcement tied to sanctions and export controls, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network Corporate Transparency Act beneficial ownership registry, which went live for most entities in January 2024.
